2-in-1 mobiles transform CRM for Bilim Pharmaceuticals
2-in-1 convertibles – laptops that turn into tablets – are starting to make a big difference in business. One company that has successfully embraced the technology is Bilim Pharmaceuticals, Turkey’s third largest pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution concern.
Sales representatives from Bilim Pharmaceuticals struggled to answer all the questions they received in their short encounters with doctors.
They also had problems accurately capturing information from them. Plus, the reps had to write up their visits within three days and this led to errors and data loss because they often misremembered details of the encounters, or attributed them to the wrong meetings. This isn’t surprising when a rep typically undertakes 500 meetings a month!
The business decided to throw out the printed brochures and introduce mobile devices with digital brochures, interactive presentations and real-time customer relationship management (CRM) to solve all the problems in one go.
They equipped their mobile workforce with 3G-enabled Samsung ATIV 2-in-1 convertibles, based on the Intel® Atom™ processor and running Microsoft Windows 8. The devices use instant-on technology and have touch-screens that can provide rapid and convenient access to information during sales presentations.
The devices can also be converted to laptops, so reps can use the dockable keyboard to write up reports of their meetings quickly and efficiently.
The change has been transformational for Bilim Pharmaceuticals. Using the 2-in-1 convertible devices, the reps have been able to improve their presentations of the latest medications and feed more data into the CRM system in real time.
Data capture is much better, and during presentations, the new software, a custom Mobilim app by TCM, enables reps to access data about the doctor they’re talking to, and access the most relevant information quickly. This way, they can tailor their presentations to the doctors’ needs, and make them more engaging.
Finally, Bilim Pharmaceuticals found, from its own research, that the devices powered by the Intel® Atom™ processor can deliver a working day’s worth of battery life.
2-in-1 convertibles are making a difference in the workplace.
